Aude and Mathilde founded Atelier MAUDÉ with one goal: to create an elegant coat, made to last.
Aude and Mathilde had long been searching for that coat: the one with character, that keeps you warm and lasts over time. MAUDÉ is their two names combined, their two visions becoming one. Just two sisters who bet everything on the material, honesty and simple elegance.
Atelier MAUDÉ was born from a conviction shared between two sisters: why should the finest materials remain out of reach? Aude and Mathilde founded their atelier with a simple ambition — to create exceptional pieces, honestly.
In Suzhou, we found what we had always been looking for. Artisans who work laine and cachemire with rare precision. Fibres of a softness we had never touched before. On our return, we decided to open the atelier and share our creations.
Suzhou is not a coincidental choice. For over two thousand years, this city has been the beating heart of Chinese textile. Its artisans master the art of weaving with a precision handed down from generation to generation, in respect of ancestral techniques.
The blend of 50% laine and 50% cachemire we use is the result of long and careful selection. The laine provides structure, form and durability. The cachemire, from the regions of Inner Mongolia, provides that incomparable softness against the skin.
We chose transparency on the composition of our pieces because we believe our customers deserve to know exactly what they are wearing.

Two sisters, one shared desire: to build something of their own.
Atelier MAUDÉ wasn't born from a grand plan, but from a simple wish: to work together, and to build something that feels like us. The name — MAUDÉ — comes from the meeting of our two first names, just as the brand comes from the meeting of our two perspectives. One designs, the other tells the story. From this closeness was born a cashmere house imagined in Paris, crafted in Suzhou, and offered without intermediaries — so that the material and the craftsmanship return to those who wear them.
