Two MAUDÉ silhouettes side by side, one full and camel, one long and belted in black
Atelier MAUDÉ — The silhouettes

Three silhouettes.
One material.

Huā Long, Yūn Long, Yūn Court: the material stays the same. What changes is the cut, the proportion and the construction.

From material to form

The material doesn't
make the coat.

A material, however carefully chosen, doesn't by itself determine how a garment reads. Our Cashmere explains why we chose wool and cashmere from Inner Mongolia; The Craft explains how that material becomes fabric, then a garment. One question remained: what form to give it. At MAUDÉ, the answer takes three silhouettes.

Volume as
signature.

Huā Long is built around a simple idea: let the material and the movement draw the silhouette. Its oversized cut wraps the body without constraining it.

A generous silhouette, made to be worn freely — and layered across seasons.

Long, belted silhouette of the Yūn Long coat, black

One belt,
two silhouettes.

Where Huā Long lets volume speak freely, Yūn Long introduces a line: a double-wrap belt that marks the waist.

Open, the line stays long and fluid. Tied, it redraws the proportions — one coat, two ways of wearing the silhouette.

Short, structured silhouette of the Yūn Court coat, black

Shorter,
more free.

Same construction, same standard — a different proportion. The mid-thigh length changes how the body reads: the legs are freed, the stride lighter.

The belt structures the silhouette without ever weighing it down.

Three readings
of one proportion.

Volume, line, proportion: three ways of cutting the same material, without ever changing it.

One material.
Three expressions.

50% wool, 50% cashmere from Inner Mongolia: the same material makes up all three silhouettes. What changes is how it's cut, belted or shortened — never the material itself.

A silhouette is
never still.

A drape that envelops, a belt that ties or unties, a shorter proportion that frees the stride: each of these construction choices changes how a MAUDÉ coat moves with the body — not only how it holds at rest.

One material, three forms

One material.
Three ways of giving it form.

The design is born in Paris; it takes form in Suzhou, in the same workshops that spin and weave the material. Three silhouettes, one standard.
